Anees R Cheratta
Anees received his bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Kannur University (India) and his master's degree in Pharmacy Practice from Hamdard University, India. Anees subsequently moved to UAE where he completed his PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the Cell Death Signaling Laboratory (United Arab Emirates University). Following his PhD, he continued as a postdoctoral researcher in the same laboratory, focusing on understanding the molecular signaling mechanism involved in the anticancer potential of natural products. As a postdoctoral associate at NYU Abu Dhabi, Anees is currently investigating the dominant role of tumor suppressor proteins (mainly, Par-4 and p53) in facilitating various programmed cell death pathways.
